The BAA provides scholarships to enable postgraduate students and those who have been awarded research degrees within the previous two years to attend conferences, and so offer an opportunity to interact with other scholars, enthusiasts and senior academics. In applying for a scholarship to attend a BAA conference you should set out the reasons for your interest in the conference, and how it might relate to your own research. You should also nominate a referee, who has a good knowledge of your work and is able to comment on its relevance to the conference. The maximum number of conference scholarships that can be awarded to an individual is two.
