Annual Lecture Programme
The BAA holds regular monthly lectures on the first Wednesday of each month between October and May. Almost all lectures take place at the Society of Antiquaries of London, and take place in the afternoon.
Many of our past lectures have been recorded and can be freely watched online

Who can attend BAA lectures?
All BAA lectures are open to non-members and members alike, though we do ask non-members to make themselves known to us on arrival. We welcome professional scholars and amateur enthusiasts.

Commemorative Lecture Series
Within the overall cycle of the Annual Lectures the Association occasionally stages a commemorative lecture series.
Thus, between 1999 and 2001 there were seven Millenium Review Lectures, intended to act as overviews of current trends in scholarship over a number of subject areas.
The most recent initiative was the George Zarnecki Memorial Lectures. Established in 2009, this ran for a period of seven years as the result of a generous donation from John Osborn, an enthusiastic member of the BAA and aficionado of all things Romanesque. The lectures were held in February or March and were followed by a reception at the Society of Antiquaries. A list of the George Zarnecki lecture series can be found in the archive.
