The Ochs Scholarship is awarded for research projects and is primarily intended to provide late stage funding to post-graduate students striving to write up theses. To be eligible, the thesis must be capable of completion within the Scholarship period, and therefore, applications where a substantial amount of fieldwork remains to be done are unlikely to succeed.
Grants are also available for research projects conducted either privately or under the umbrella of a larger organisation, such as a local history or archaeology society.
