Join the BAA on Friday 10 October 2025 for a study day at Chester Cathedral. Today, Chester Cathedral is a vibrant community of worship, an archaeological treasure, a cultural hub, a centre of musical excellence and a unique blend of medieval and modern history.

Through workshops, tours and behind-the-scenes access, you’ll be among the first to see results from Centring the Past: The People and Skills in Making Medieval English Vaults (University of Liverpool, AHRC IAA). The day features a guided look at the tower and ground-floor architecture, and a visit to the Cathedral Library, with an invitation to stay for Evensong.

Cost: £25 for members, free for students (with travel grants available). Spaces are limited to 20 attendees. Deadline for places is 19 September 2025.
