The George Zarnecki Memorial Lectures

The George Zarnecki Memorial Lecture was established in 2009 as the result of a generous donation from John Osborn, an enthusiastic member of the BAA and aficionado of all things Romanesque. The lecture is held in February or March and is followed by a reception at the Society of Antiquaries. The text is then usually published in the following year’s journal, and a special run of offprints is commissioned (which are available for purchase at £5 each before each BAA lecture at the Society of Antiquaries). The lecture series will run until the Zarnecki Memorial Lecture fund is exhausted (currently anticipated in 2015).

The next lecture is on 4 February, 2015, when John McNeill will speak on ‘The Cloister in Anglo-Norman England’.
