Simon Kirsop was elected assistant Secretary in 2009. He is the Nottinghamshire fieldworker for the Corpus of Romanesque Sculpture in Great Britain and Ireland and the Treasurer of the Friends of the Corpus. He first joined the BAA ten years ago to pursue his interest in early Medieval art and history but with the scope of the Associations activities both lectures and the annual conferences he has found his interests broaden, especially given the wide range of original research being undertaken under the Association’s auspices, reflected in the conference Transactions and the annual Journal.
